What this visa is
Parent visas let Australian citizens and permanent residents bring their parents to live in Australia. The non-contributory 103 has decades-long queues. The Contributory Parent (143) and Contributory Parent Temporary (173) move much faster but cost a multi-stage Visa Application Charge per parent. The 870 is a separate sponsored long-stay temporary visa.
Where applications go wrong
