Its own page draws a cross-family exclusion that matters beyond this hospitality and retail family entirely: occupations not considered under this code include Facilities Officer, Facilities Administrator, Property Manager if primarily supervising the leasing of rental properties on behalf of owners, Construction Project Manager, Groundsman and Property Caretaker — ruling out both a more junior title and roles assessed under entirely different occupation families.
Where these applications come unstuck
The Property Manager exclusion is conditional, not blanket — VETASSESS excludes it specifically if primarily supervising leasing, which means a candidate whose duties blend leasing administration with genuine facilities and services management needs to be precise about which side of that line their actual work sits on. Construction Project Manager is excluded outright, so an applicant managing a building's ongoing services should not reach for this code if their real work is project-based construction management instead.

Facilities Manager reaches state nomination but not Employer Nomination or the Skills in Demand main stream — a facilities manager, however senior, cannot be employer-sponsored under this code. A candidate managing a mixed-use commercial building's maintenance, security and contracts across multiple trades genuinely fits this code's description; the visa outcome available to them is a state or regional pathway, not direct sponsorship.
