Processing priority
Electronics Engineer isn't in any of the ANZSCO groups that Directions 121 and 122 list for the priority sectors. Engineers Australia assesses Electronics Engineer the same way as its other professional engineering codes: an accredited qualification pathway for Washington, Sydney or Dublin Accord degrees (including Australian-accredited ones), or a Competency Demonstration Report for everyone else, comprising three Career Episodes, a Summary Statement mapping each episode to the stage 1 competency elements, and Continuing Professional Development evidence.
Where these applications come unstuck
As with other CDR-pathway engineering codes, episodes written as project narratives rather than first-person accounts of the applicant's own analysis, decisions and technical judgement are the most common weakness — Engineers Australia is assessing individual competency, not project outcomes. A degree in a closely adjacent discipline (electrical, telecommunications, computer engineering) sometimes needs a clearer justification in the Summary Statement for why the electronics-specific competencies are genuinely met.
