Where these applications come unstuck
This code is the fourth sales-related code in the family and it is easy to conflate with the two named non-ICT sales-representative codes, Sales Representative (Industrial Products) and Sales Representative (Medical and Pharmaceutical Products) — those two reach only three subclasses each, while ICT Sales Representative reaches six. An applicant selling ICT products who nominates one of the non-ICT sales codes by habit, rather than checking that this ICT-specific code exists, would be nominating into a narrower visa reach than necessary.

Unlike the general sales-representative trio, where the nec catch-all reaches double the visas of its two named siblings, the ICT sales-and-development trio has no such inversion — all three ICT codes, including this one, already reach the same six subclasses. That makes ICT Sales Representative the more consistently wide-reaching option for anyone selling technology products compared with the equivalent non-ICT sales-representative codes in this same family.
